I appear before you opposed to LB 1316
This bill will have long term negative impacts on public schools in Nebraska. We believe LB243 was created to give Districts the opportunity to access to more than a 3% property tax increase in circumstances that would force a District to go negative/backward in revenue. It would be nearly impossible to operate a school district on a flat rate without freezing or rolling back employee wages or the elimination of staff.
